About Miniature Pets in Guild Wars

In Guild Wars there are Miniatures also called Miniature Pets, Minis, and even Mini Pets that are actually small replicas of NPC’s, creatures, or in-game characters. They have only one purpose of being collected by players, as they can’t attack, defend or interact with anything.

The Developers put them in the game as collectibles that they can reward in exchange for various achievement completion. Even the players who showed dedication got various special Miniatures.

Miniature Pets are always your ally meaning they can boost the skills that revolve around allies in specific ranges like Leaders Comfort. They do get affected by various skill effects as well like You are all Alone and skills like Earthquake.

On the other hand, they have no role in Leadership, nor do they have aggro. Furthermore, in Guild Wars, the Miniature Pets have various drops allocated to them but without even the Miniature Pet, the owner can pick them.

In Guild Wars, there are around 127 Miniatures divided into various types of Whites, Purple, Gold, and Greens. Then, at the peak, there are Unique Miniatures as well, as well as Celestial Miniatures.

Whenever you change between Miniatures there is a cooldown of around 10 seconds.

How to Use Miniature Pets in Guild Wars?

To use Miniature Pets, you will have to either summon them or take them out yourself. You will have to open the inventory of your character and double-click the miniature icon. Now, you have summoned the Mini Pet which starts moving around you.

If you are running away from the Miniature Pet, that pet will start following you. You can do the same step to dismiss that Miniature Pet. On the other hand, if you call the next Miniature, the previous one disappears.

You can’t have all the Miniatures you want, rather there is a limit to them, around 20 plus. They are usually making sounds but in Towns, Guild Halls, and Outposts they are completely silent.

Why Do I Need a Miniature Pet in Guild Wars?

So, as we already mentioned Miniature Pets have only one purpose of showcasing. You can display them in the Hall of Monuments Devotion. Once you show a Miniature Pet, you won’t be able to un-show it. However, that same Showcased Miniature Pet can be summoned, as well as trade.

After collecting Miniature Pets, you can also sell them to various Merchants. Miniatures that aren’t showcased are quite expensive and can be sold for a higher price. Using Miniatures in the Hall of Monuments can earn them rewards, which is why they drop in value after selling.

How to Acquire Miniature Pets?
